Helping your teen discover their true potential
As parents we sometimes just don’t know what to do.
We lay awake at night wondering if the distance we feel between us and our teen is the normal stuff of independence or if they might be feeling depressed and withdrawing. We aren’t sure if they are just a little shy and nervous or if they might be experiencing unrelenting anxiety that is causing them to miss out on the activities and time with friends they really love. We’re not sure if they simply have really high standards or are pushing themselves too hard and suffering from crippling perfectionism and the fear of failing.
You could keep wondering and feeling powerless or you can reach out for help
I‘m Jody Pittner and I help teens and parents just like you figure out what’s really going on below the surface. Some teens I work with can describe exactly how they feel, while others struggle to put their powerful emotions and experiences into words. Many have been walking around with the weight of the world on their shoulders with no one to help them express how they feel and learn what to actually do about it.
